This Privacy Policy explains what information GAMELAD collects when you visit gamelad.store, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.

GAMELAD is an independent website run by a single person. We are not a company, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Who we are

GAMELAD is a PC game review and curation site. The site is published on Google's Blogger platform at the domain gamelad.store. For any privacy question, you can reach us at vick90981@gmail.com.

What we collect

1. Information you give us voluntarily

• Newsletter email address. If you subscribe, we collect your email address. That is the only field we ask for.
• Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message.
• Comments. If you leave a comment, Blogger records the display name and profile information attached to the account you comment with.

2. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, some data is collected automatically when you load a page:

• Your IP address and approximate location (usually country or city level)
• Browser type, operating system, and device type
• Which pages you visited, when, and which site referred you
• How long you spent on a page

We do not use this to identify you personally. It is aggregate traffic data that tells us which reviews people actually read.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. GAMELAD itself does not set tracking cookies, but the following third-party services may:

• Google Blogger — the platform this site runs on. It sets cookies necessary for the site to function, for comment sign-in, and for basic traffic statistics.
• MailerLite — our newsletter provider. It may set a cookie if you interact with the subscribe form.
• YouTube — where a review embeds a video, YouTube may set cookies when the player loads.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as commenting, may stop working correctly if you do.

Advertising

GAMELAD does not currently display advertising. No ad networks are serving ads on this site at the time of writing.

If that changes in future, we will update this policy before ads go live. Should we introduce Google AdSense, the following would apply: Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites; Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet; and you may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Our newsletter

Our newsletter is handled by MailerLite. If you subscribe:

• Your email address is stored on MailerLite's servers, not ours
• We use it only to send GAMELAD game reviews, rankings, and picks
• We will never sell your address or pass it to a third party
• Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time

You can also email us directly and we will remove you manually.

Our store and external links

Game downloads and purchases are handled through our Gumroad store at gamelad.gumroad.com. When you click through to Gumroad, you leave GAMELAD and Gumroad's own privacy policy and terms apply. Any payment details you enter are handled entirely by Gumroad — we never see or store your card details.

Our reviews may also link to external sites such as Steam, itch.io, developer pages, or YouTube. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any external site. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Your rights over your data

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (Europe), the Nigeria Data Protection Act, or similar laws. Regardless of where you are, GAMELAD will honour the following on request:

• Access — ask what data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate
• Deletion — ask us to erase your data, including removing you from the newsletter
• Objection — ask us to stop processing your data

Children

GAMELAD is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we will delete it promptly.

Data security

The site is served over HTTPS. Subscriber data sits with MailerLite, and site data with Google Blogger — both established providers with their own security measures. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, if we introduce advertising or analytics. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Material changes will be noted on the site.
